Privacy policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This policy explains what personal information OnePiecePrints ("we", "us") collects when you visit onepieceprints.com, use our ordering and design pages, or buy from us; what we do with it; who we share it with; and the choices you have. Our store runs on Shopify. Questions: onepieceprints@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Contact and order details: your name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, company name, what you ordered, and order notes.
- Payment details: card payments are handled by Shopify's checkout. We see the payment status and the last digits of a card, never the full card number.
- Files and design information: 3D files, photos, drawings, logos and measurements you upload, the sizes and options you choose, and what you write in our "Describe your part" design chat. For uploaded 3D files we keep a cleaned, repaired copy for printing, not your original file. These can contain personal information if you include it.
- Account information: if you sign in to your OnePiecePrints account, your email, the one-time sign-in codes we send you, your saved models and orders, and your company and teammates if you set up a company account.
- Messages: emails, calls and texts you send us.
- Device and usage information: your IP address, browser and device, pages viewed, and cookies (see below).
- Photos in our shop: cameras inside our printers photograph the print bed to check it is clear and to watch your print. These photos show your part, not you.
How we use it
- To quote, make, ship and support your order, and to let you reorder.
- To design parts you ask us to design, and show you previews.
- To run your account and sign you in.
- To send emails about your orders, designs, saved files and account. We send marketing email only if you signed up for it, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and keep our systems secure. Orders get an automatic risk check on our own computer; an order that looks risky is held for a person to review, never cancelled automatically.
- To keep business and tax records and meet our legal obligations.
- To improve our quotes and printing (for example comparing a quote with the real print).
We do not sell your files or designs, and we do not use your files to train AI models.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:
- Shopify runs our store, checkout and payments (see "Shopify" below).
- Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, DHL) receive your name, address and phone to deliver your order.
- Google sends our emails (Gmail).
- AI design services: when you ask us to design a part, the description, photos and sizes you give us may be sent to an AI service (today Google Gemini; at times Anthropic Claude or Tripo for shapes from photos) to help create the design. We use their paid business services, not free consumer apps.
- Network providers (Cloudflare and Tailscale) carry and protect traffic between your browser and our ordering, design and account pages.
- Push notifications: order alerts that may include your name and order details are sent to our own phones through the ntfy notification service.
- Your teammates: if you join a company account, the company's members can see the models and orders shared with it.
- Legal reasons: when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of selling or reorganizing the business.
How long we keep it
- Order records are kept as long as tax and business law requires (generally at least 5 years).
- Quotes you do not order are deleted after about 30 days (unpaid checkouts after about 2 days).
- Files for an order are kept so you can reorder, and so we can handle any problem with the order. Files you save to your account library are kept until you delete them or close your account, up to the library's storage limit.
- Saved designs that have never been printed are kept for at least 90 days. Before one is removed we email you twice with a one-click way to keep it.
- Your account is kept until you ask us to delete it.
- Printer camera photos are kept only as long as needed to check prints.
Keep your own copy of any file that matters to you.
Cookies
Our store uses Shopify's cookies to run the cart and checkout, remember preferences, and measure how the site is used. Our ordering and account pages use a cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; it is required for sign-in and is not used for advertising. You can manage cookies in your browser, but parts of the site may not work without them.
Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your use of the store to provide and improve its services, and may process it in countries other than yours. Shopify also uses certain information from your interactions with our store and other merchants to provide enhanced features; for those uses, Shopify is responsible for your information. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Shopify may support personalized advertising based on your activity with different merchants. Depending on where you live, you can opt out of that sharing on our Your privacy choices page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out for that browser. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, to delete it, to receive it in a portable form, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of your information. To use any of these rights, email onepieceprints@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep information the law requires us to keep (such as order and tax records). We will not treat you differently for using your rights. You may use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof that you authorized them. If we decline your request you can appeal by replying to our answer, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We protect your information with reasonable safeguards, such as limited access, encrypted connections and sign-in codes that expire. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
Our services are not meant for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International visitors
We are in the United States, and your information is processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers work. Where the law requires, transfers out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom rely on recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page and, where the law requires, tell you directly.
