How NFC Tap-to-Review Plaques Work for Local Businesses

An NFC review plaque has a tiny chip inside that sends a customer's phone straight to your Google review page when they tap it. No app, no searching for your business.

How it works

NFC (near field communication) is the same short-range tech behind tap-to-pay. We program a small NFC tag with the link to your review page and seal it inside a printed plaque with your logo. When a customer holds their phone near it, the phone opens the link.

Which phones work

  • iPhone: iPhone XS and newer read NFC tags with no setup.
  • Android: most current phones read NFC tags, as long as NFC is turned on in settings.

A small printed QR code on the plaque is a good backup for older phones. Ask us to add one.

Where to put it

  • At the register, where people already have their phone out to pay.
  • On tables, next to the check presenter or menu.
  • On the window or door for takeout customers.

Follow the review rules

Google's policies don't allow offering discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews, or asking only happy customers to leave one. Ask everyone, keep it simple, and let the plaque do the work.

What it costs

A counter stand is $39 and a wall or window plaque is $34. The Review Booster Kit adds 25 logo keychains for $95. If your review link ever changes, we reprogram it for free. See everything in products for local businesses.
